ADDITIONAL PRIZES FOR 2008: FIRST PRIZE - $1000 | SECOND PRIZE - $100 and a pair of Tickets to the 2009 Ossipee Bluegrass Festival | THIRD PRIZE - A pair of Tickets to the 2009 Ossipee Bluegrass Festival
Contest Rules:
- Potential contestants must send a recording of themselves (
CD only) performing
their song to the festival.
- Submissions will be juried and the top 20 selections according
to the selection commitee will be chosen for the contest.
- Contestants may perform solo or have 2 accompanists. (hand
drums only)
- Songs will be limited to 4 minutes or less.
- There is no limit of musical style or genre.
- All contestants must have a valid admission ticket to the
festival.
- The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. All judges
decisions are final.
- The winner will receive $1000.00 cash. Second place will receive $100.00 cash and a pair of passes to next years festival. Third place will recieve a pair of passes to next years festival.
- Each contestant may submit one song only on CD.
- All songs must be original
- The person who wrote the song must perform the song as a solo
or as an accompanist
- Paid performers of the Ossipee Valley Bluegrass
Assc. may not compete.
- Deadline for submissions is June 14th, 2008
