Mountain Biking
Back Country Excursions is northern New Englands popular destination for serious mountain bikers. Its 8800 acre preserve provides a base of operations. Bike rentals, dedicated single track trails for all levels of riders, terrain parks, guided rides, and instruction if needed. They're just 10 minutes from the Music Festival. Canoeing and Kayaking
Two Maine rivers, the Saco and the Ossipee, meet in Cornish. You can put in to the Ossipee River above the festival grounds and paddle down to our swimming hole. There are also plenty of area lakes with public launches.
Rentals and guided trips are available at River Run Canoeing in Brownfield, ME. 30 minutes from festival.
Hiking
Douglas Mountain - Sebago, ME
Fantastic views of lakes and White Mountains to the North East. 30 minutes from festival.
Burnt Meadow Mountain - Brownfield, ME
Demanding hike with rewarding views to the east and south. 30 minute drive from festival.
